Portsmouth Looks to Fill Empty Spaces Downtown

With empty storefronts mixed in among businesses along High Street in downtown Portsmouth, the city is looking ahead to fill those vacant spaces.

A big loss on the horizon is the three-story, 33,000-square-foot Tidewater Community College Visual Arts Center on High Street. The college plans to move the center out of Portsmouth into the Glass Wheel Studio and a redeveloped Greyhound bus station site in Norfolk.
